We would like to invite you all to our “End of month OPEN RODA” which will be on Saturday 25th September @ Fitness First, Southend, Essex.

The class starts from 12pm ending with a nice long open roda…. The August Roda was great fun and amazing energy, so make sure you note this date in your diary for the next one!

This month we will also have some special guests!!!!

Tonight the class will be in the Laindon Community Center from 19.00 – 21.00. The hall may change from next week, so please make sure you give us your contact number in class for the new venue.

The “end of the month RODA” is to encourage our little capoeira family, plus friends, to get together as a group once a month and enjoy the wonderful fruits that Capoeira has to offer…

We are pleased to announce our first capoeira for kids class starting this week, Thursday 29th July, in Old Town, Leigh on Sea. This class will be dedicated just for working with children between the ages of 4 years and 13 years in capoeira and music.

Our classes are every week details listed below:

17:00 – 18:10 – (4 – 13yrs)

• Sunday 27th June – Horden on the Hill carnival – a charity event with a show of capoeira and percussion.
• Sunday 27th June – Leigh on Sea Folk festival / Southend sea front… Capoeira and Music.
• Saturday 3rd July – Dance Digital event, Southend Victoria Plaza – We’ll be giving a capoeira workshop demo and music.
• Sunday 4th July - Basfest – Basildon, we are giving workshops and a show of capoeira.
• Sunday 25th July – Redbridge Festival – Waiting on confirmation.
• 13th, 14th & 15th August – Barefoot festival – Leicestershire, Mestre Biscuim will be giving Brazilian Percussion and maculele workshops, plus shows throughout the event.
• Saturday 21st August - Southend Illuminated Parade – We have been invited back again this year to open and lead the carnival come and join us for the carnival!

This bank holiday not only is celebrating the Southend Air show, but we are going to be having a street roda and some training either on the beach or in the park. Including music and capoeira! Get in touch if you want to come down, we’ll be getting together around midday, but I’d advise you to turn up about 10ish, as it will be very busy on the roads and trains due to the airshow.
